I've got this standing dead tree on my property. I might take it down this weekend, just wondering what kind of wood it might be. Thanks

Black Cherry. God stuff.

That was my suspicion. I've never cut one before so I was not sure. I have a few others that need to come down also. Thanks!

X2 on the black cherry. Have some in the racks myself.

Yes black cherry. Will smell great when cutting.

Love the cherry! Cuts , splits and Burns great. Also seasons in a year or less.( I have some at 15% that I cut at the start of summer

Thanks everybody

Just did a cord today. It's 28% right now. It does season in a year or so. I let it go as long as possible
