bark on the closest piece looks like maple? but color on end of 2nd from front suggests other
 
I assumed just the round was in question. Splits on left look like maple. Maple leaves on the ground as well.

Todd I think you got it right and yes it's super light, I'm splitting some to burn this year for the shoulder season.

I cut up some Basswood last summer and it looks similar to your pictures. It's super light and kind a looks like Silver Maple. I had a hard time splitting mine fresh so I let it dry a few months and it split better this winter.
