I wish, both saws (the chains) I had with me tonight will be on the grinder tomorrow night so there ready for the weekend. I'll work on the pine tomorrow that came down on the property the house is on.

The smaller saws will see some time tomorrow.

Chips look great. Only thing I could help on the grinder is do not lock down until you hwave the wheel into the gullet. Helps clear the top plate.

Well, those temperatures are not that unusual for that area. When we lived in the upper peninsula there were a couple sayings that were not far from the truth. Two seasons: Winter and the 4th of July. Or 9 months of winter and 3 months of tough sledding.

EDIT: I should have added that when one of our sons was in the band, they were invited to Mackinaw Island for the lilac festival, which is held in early June. Trouble was, that year the lilacs did not blossom until the last week of June. Yes, we had lilacs on the 4th of July that summer....if you could call it summer.

I took care of two trees (not all of the second tree) today that came down in the May & June storms, the first tree was on the ground but the second is still attached to the trunk, the tree that's still attached to the trunk will be coming down the next time I'm up there.

I think the two tres today were both sugar maple. Pics 7706,07 & 08 are of the first tree, 7709 is the second tree attached to the trunk,7712 is the second tree going back to the stump, pic 7713 is up next.
