They won't be putting a dead guy in jail; I doubt very much they'll find the kayaker alive. They recovered the body of a guy who decided to go swimming in Long Island Sound last night. I wonder what goes through your mind when you realize you did something incredibly stupid and are going to pay for it with your life? They should have stayed home compulsively reading the pellet forum.

They passed a law here in Pa now that if you go out when there is a state of emergency and get stuck you receive a 250-500 dollar fine, 2 points on your license and a bill to remove your car and the clean up the mess. Still we had people crossing standing water and a few washing down stream. I guess you cant fix stupid

Well, sometimes "stupid" fixes itself ....unfortunately it eventually comes out of "smarts" wallet.

That's stupid but on a much smaller scale than the decision of the captain of the HMS Bounty replica to set out to sea in a massive hurricane rather than ride the storm out in port. An aircraft carrier, yes, but a sailing vessel??? I guess he's paying for that decision with his life as we speak.

First step in training a dog is that you need to be smarter than the dog. Obviously NOT the case here.

I guess we had someone decide to go for a swim in milford ct. Rescue personal decided it wasn't worth risking any of their lives. They resumed in the morning and found him down the beach. I also heard we had 2 yakkers go for a paddle. One was rescued and the other was lost, All that was recovered was the yak.

    Wow, what were they thinking?
