“In groups of two, we tend to be more polite, not to confront or ask questions,” Wiley said. “But when you respond to a question in a group of three, you’re not confronting, you’re speaking up for the whole group.”

Sobering :)

But when you are one in a group of two but you see two others you have had just about the right amount of beer.

This is why they skipped me from 2nd to 3rd grade in 1956.

You were drinking beer then?

Might be a rhetorical question

My dad and I were drinking buddies from the time I was about 3. He referred to it as Contributing to the Academic Success of a Minor.

LOL !! My brother thought Rheingold "cubs" were kid sized, and helped himself when ever.

So, that means I should partake of a couple of brews before the next chess tournament?! Or maybe that is the reason for my memory loss; I'm not drinking beer.

I'm not drinking beer.

Whoa Dennis. Slow down a bit. Your not WHAT???

That DOES explain a few things - vertical splitting, funny looking bike. I'll bet that is why you have 5 year old stacks of wood. You forgot where you put them.;lol;)

We've go to keep the beer away from them men. We can't afford them getting any more smarterer. Nicola Tesla predicted that one day we would be ruled by a race of "queen bees". Already happening in my hive.

I've GOT to drink more beer! I can do that!

How about some cerveza?

From Cliff Clavin (Cheers):

“Well, you see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it’s the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”
