Been following the reports on those 2 fires zap. Not good at all but is very common when conditions are so dry like this year. I recall a fire several years ago that started in the Seney refuge and it was a couple months before that one was contained. Trouble was, it actually burned underground and new fires would pop up. That is how it crossed the state highway (28) that year. Nasty stuff.

We re on fire up here in Ontario, too. 45 fires on the go in NorthEast Ontario. So far, three towns evacuated. Gonna be a long summer up here!

Thanks zap, but that would have to cross a whole lotta' water to get here. Those who are in the area, heed zap's advice.
This weeks paper (yes, this weeks) has several reports of fires in the area, so conditions are ripe.
I'd love to have a pit fire, but don't dare with the lack of rain and wind.

Things must be much more dry up from where we are. We haven't had a ton of rain but enough for my grass/weeds to be green and growing at a ridiculous rate.

We re on fire up here in Ontario, too. 45 fires on the go in NorthEast Ontario. So About 40 minutes ago the fire trucks went rolling down our road at a good clip, not sure if it was a accident or a fire.
