YES! So I finally got my first auto feeder job. Here are the job specs. Older woman that cannot lift bags everyday. Has an EFIIIbi into a zero clearance hearth on a wall against her garage. What we are going to do is create a bin that insets into the wall that will hold 30 bags with an auger lift and gravity drop into the hopper. My own design....pics coming soon. Wicked excited!!!!

Hurry up! :p

How are the pellets gonna get into the bin?

Cool, now how do you plan on sealing up that setup, you don't need suction occurring in the hooper or is this going to be a press the button to fill operation?.

Here is my subscription.... Waiting for pics. I loved your set-up on the PAH.

Congrats.

Its going to be an auger fed system. Going to relay off the auger from the machine to the bulk feed hopper. The bulk feed auger will turn at 6 RPM with a proximity sensor mounted in the hopper. If fuel is low the bulk feed willl continue to turn unless interrupted by the fill sensor, high limit shut off or power to unit. Also going to include an auto reset 15 minute timer in the even that the bulk feed gets jammed or the fill sensor fails the bulk bin will not continue to run endlessly

Hi Scott

Will it be an Automatic Feeder like the Harman Bulk Hopper?
The Harman may work, just cut a hole in the hopper lid? Would that be too easy?

HEATING WITH BIOFUELS
HAS GOTTEN EVEN EASIER.

Harman brings you the BioFuel Bulk
Hopper that holds a massive 1500+
pounds of fuel. The handy easy-lift bag
support makes pouring the fuel into
the hopper more convenient.
While mighty in capacity, the Harman
BioFuel Bulk Hopper only takes up a
3' x 3' square area, making it applicable
in virtually any central heat installation.
The automatic fuel level sensor
informs the BioFuel Bulk Hopper
when to transfer fuel to the central
heat unit or stove.
Partially assembled to accommodate
narrow doors, this accessory only
needs a minimum ceiling clearance of
80 inches.
Compatible with Harman PB105,
PF100, P68, P61, P61A, P38+, PC45
and P43 appliances.
FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.
NOT FOR COAL

That harman thing looks like it has a long a$$ auger, I Would hate to have to pull that guy....I can just see all the stuff my customers would "Drop into" that that would clog up that 50 mile long auger lol

I believe that Harman discontinued the bulk bin because it interfered with the hopper's ability to seal off air. I could be wrong but that is what I heard.

just ordered one this friday past...still available

here is my subscription, I am curious and can not wait to see some pics.

I would like to see this too My stove is backed up to my garage so I could build a bin in there and feed my stove as long as you dont file for a patent LOL

I looked into building one myself too...parts expensive and there was bound to be bugs in the system as well. The harman unit is purpose built to keep vacuum in boiler hopper...a must for safety and operation. I have no idea how it works (suspect it is like an icemaker on the front of fridge). I even looked into purchasing harman parts but it turned out to be not cost effective. I will post pictures (or it didn't happen) LOL ...also it is paid for so it WILL happen

This old thread turned out to be a dissappointment.... Did the op ever finish or start for that matter?
