Soon I plan on going ahead with a stove install. I have purchased the Simpson Duraplus through the roof kit and triple wall chimney pipe. I've been waiting on some cooler weather before spending the day in my attic running the chimney. This will be a straight through the roof, completely vertical, install. Due to a close clearance to a beam near the ceiling in my planned location I will have to use double wall DVL or put a pipe shield on some single wall next to the beam I suppose. I'm planning on getting a piece of telescoping double wall through Dynamitebuys.

My question is am I going to require an adapter for the DVL at the ceiling support box or will it mate right up? I'm also not sure about the joint at the stove collar. I assume the inner liner of the DVL might slip inside the stove collar. Or is there an adapter for that joint too?

Thanks!

You need the adapter at the ceiling support box(8674 for 6"), unless they have changed the support box since M&G took over. There is also a stove adapter, but whether it is necessary or not depends on the stove's flue collar. Give Sean a call at dynamitebuys and see if he knows whether your stove needs it or not. We did not need one for our Alderlea.

Sounds good. Thanks!
