What does that really mean? Seems like every day is labor day, but tonight I will drink!!! Wait a minute maybe tonight I will drink smarter. Wishing all my Hearth Buddies the best, time to go to a small gathering, make me proud and drink safe!!

The heating season will be here soon4891.jpg

Thanks...

I had so many things planned for today and it was just too damn hot to do any of it...heat index of 110-115 is just too much.

Hope you had a good one...

Happy Labor Day, brothers! Hope y'all had a good weekend....... Now, BACK TO WORK TOMORROW!:p

I'm always off on Monday so it's just another day for me. Except more people were around. Couldn't believe all the weekend warriors on the highway when I went fishing tonight. Days like this really make me appreciate having my days off during the week. I couldn't imagine being off on weekends with everyone else.

I had a good three day weekend . . . went up north camping . . . hiked in to the site of an old pulp wood operation where when it ended the company just abandoned the locomotives and tramway there in the deep Maine north woods. It's pretty cool to be walking along and then all of a sudden you see tracks in middle of the woods with large trees growing up through them . . . and not a single railroad tie. Lots of other materials -- old barrels, old train cars for moving the pulp, two locomotives (converted to burn oil -- 1920s vintage) and a tramway powered by a huge boiler.

We did our annual pub crawl to the Rockport pub for some good company and brews on Saturday. It's always great to get together with old friends. The next day we visited Baker Lake and the Birdview Brewery. The weather was beautiful, food and brews were excellent too.

Pics? All this teaser talk, we need pics.

As requested . . . pics of the trains, remains of the cars, etc. from my two friends. I wish they had taken a pic of the tracks in middle of the woods with the large trees growing up through the middle . . . but who am I to complain since I didn't lug in my camera.

Also, pics of the nearby lake, Dutch oven pizza, etc.

3 day show in Alton Bay, NH. There's a fried food place across the street- when the wind blows the wrong direction, my stomach would grumble.

Hippy neighbor potter bought a bowl I made that looked like it had a sunflower in it, and immediately filled it with salsa. We bought ceramic "mushrooms" for our new tree stumps out back.

Then while I had the camera out I took closeups of pots
