So, I've decided to sell my Echo 510EVL (with chain brake, makes it an "EVLP"?), and replace it with another Stihl. I think the 036 is the way to go, placed nicely between my Husq. 435T and Stihl 064, and about the same weight as the Echo.

What should I expect to pay for a solid 036 or 034 Super in good condition?

What can I expect to get for that Echo 510EVL? It was owned by my stepfather before me, and almost never used. I have one year on it. In other words, it's clean.

Not looking to make a killing on either saw, just a fair price on both. Searching ebay, examples of the 036 are widely scattered, and I find no closed auctions on 510EVL's.

Thanks!

I just paid $ 175.00 for a nice clean used 036 pro, & Oregon mini grinder combo. By all rights, that was a really nice deal. 036 in very nice shape, good comp. bar etc. $ 175.00 to $ 275.00 around here. Maybe as much as $ 350.00 for a mint saw. Keep an eye on craigslist for similar saws. 034 super is the same as the 036, but not as common. As for the echo, I'm no help, don't know much about them. Patience & a little luck, & hopefully you'll get a nice saw. A C

Geez... I think I need to get you shopping for my saw, AC! Doubt I'll find a deal like that around here.

Bottom Line: I got lucky, & doesn't seem to happen too often. There are some deals out there though. I was looking for a new saw for over a year, didn't need one, just kept looking. A C

PS I'll keep an eye out for ya if you'd like.

I got mine for a Song and a Dance too (way under $200). And it was CLEAN when I got it (buddy I work with).

There was one about 10 minutes from me for $100 last weekend!!! I was about 30 minutes late! :(

But anywhere from $100 (lowest I EVER seen) to about $550 (MS 362/ pretty damn new). But the $250 range would be a nice price. Its one helluva saw and always puts a smile on my face :) Definitely my favorite firewood saw (everyday cutting/ speed/ weight)

No comments on the Echo. Other than shoot high and let the buyer talk you down. Everyone likes to think they got a good deal ;)

Condision is everything........Perfect and had the pro sticker on it.....I talking like new I would go 500.00. This one look pretty good when I was done and had under 10.00 bucks in it.

Figure $100-150 for the Echo. I paid about that for a pristine version of that saw in John Deere colors earlier this year, and would probably buy another one if I could find one around $100-125.
