Hey guys hows it goin? Its my first post since last season. This will be my 2nd year burning wood. I've got quite a few cords out in the back yard that have been sitting since last summer. I plan on bringing a weeks supply at a time into the basement this year in order to make sure its nice and DRY before burning.

Anyway, I need to clean my chimney before I start burning this year.

I have aprox 7.5'' square ceramic flue. What would be a good brush to use to clean it out?

(I still have to extend my chimney and install a liner before winter starts)

I always go bigger then trim down if needed.

+1. The dimensions of those flue tiles are not held to rigid standards. They vary greatly. Start with the largest size & if you need to trim it, do so gradually. You want the ends of the bristles to scrape the insides of your flue...
Otherwise, there's no point in brushing...

And don't wait so long before posting again Lewis.

I suggest you top cover your wood to keep the rain out fairly soon..
