Hey guys,
I've decided to list my stove for sale on CL...it is a Quad 3100I with std surround/nickel trim.
I'm not too sure on the market value of the stove, it is in perfect working condition, needing only the 2 rear fire bricks around the tubes.

Any suggestions on asking price?

What's a new one going for? How old is it? Take those factors into consideration and come up with a comfortable price that you would "let it go" for. Then, add a few bucks to that price and let the haggling begin. 'Tis the season for woodstove hunters.....

Did they ask you if you'd take it in the brown for a better deal?

He didn't ask......I was outta there as he finished the quote!

The stove is 7 yrs old now, new it is $2700

ill give ya 300 dollars if u deliver to wv...lol

you can always start high...and if it doesn't sell go lower. I'd try and get those bricks in though. if i saw that it needed firebrick, i'd probably think it might have been overheated or misused a bit. just saying...if you have to fix it, i....and probably many others.....move along.

Good call, I'll order 'em on Monday.

Good call to go ahead are replace the fire bricks. Someone might bite on it as is but they would probably want it really cheap to take the risk. With the fire bricks already replaced you will probably have more interest and be able to command more $$.

let us know how you make out selling the stove. good luck....and have fun replacing the bricks
