Walk out on the kitchen deck, good cup of coffee, an inch of fresh snow on the ground and more falling.
Nutball Lab. is racing around, nose buried in every little drift, goofy happy look on her face. Birds on the feeders and suet cages. canyon is quiet, just bird noises. It was nice.

Sorry Jack, no pics. Gonna let the beast pull me up to the top of the ridge, get a nice view of the first snow.

I always love the noise muting/softening that a nice snowfall brings...very peaceful. Enjoy!

A good 12" of snow makes my neighbors' property look much better!

I cant wait for our first snowfall. Hell I'd be happy to get a good snowfall after the winter we had last year!

I agree with Jack, we need some pics here........you know the rules!

When you stop and recognize those times- there's little better.

Here I am with a cuppa after an ice storm a few years ago. No power, trees down, great day!

Oh, I have cameras...just nothing to take a picture of yet. Tell ya what, I'll upload one that's been on the board before. This was 6 months ago on the Vernal Equinox...

Isn't it amazing how those trees can bow and bend with all that ice on them, and straighten back up?
 
Heres some peace and serenity for the snow lovers from my neck of the woods!!!

This is mid winter 2 years ago. By the end of Feb this 7' tall wood pile was burried.
