Wife came out when the rain stopped & helped stack. Then the Granddaughter came helped too.
Amazing how fast it goes with help :)
Split some more but not all done yet.
This will finish off my 14/15 wood. Hope to get started on 15/16 if the weather holds.
Looking at the shed & stacks & being 2 years ahead is a great feeling :) ::P

I know we all like pics of stack so here's a few :

Looking great Dave. It's always good to have company while stacking; conversation makes it go faster it seems. 2 years ahead is a great feeling indeed!

Is white birch your primary wood supply up your way Dave?

Nice looking stacks, but I think somebody forgot to wipe their feet before walking across those nice carpets. ;)
Carpet shampooer been coming weekly, heavy rain, maybe I should add some soap ;)

Birch & spruce are the 2 main choices here. Cotton wood & aspen if all else fails.
For BTUs, birch is our best. :

You are right Dave. It gives one a great feeling looking at his wood piles and knowing he has enough for years and knowing without a doubt that the wood will be dry and ready to burn when it is needed.

Nice dave. Your stacks look great. May the winds pass them by! :p

I think what you got there is one of those 18th century wet rugs! (deuce bigelow) :p
