Attached is a pellet fact sheet (cannot vouch for the accuracy of the facts) that might be helpful to others on pellet brands, heat average and ash. I picked this up at a local pellet supplier and thought I would share it with you's guys (and girls). Hope it helps someone. ==c

I did a quick search and could not find this posted yet. If it has been then please disregard this post.

Think I found it in a different format. Like your review better but the numbers look the same. Certainly looks like your hard work. Your call, I will take the file down if you want or leave it up. All thanks go to you. :)

Was wondering which dealer had it tis all.

You can leave it, I'm just surprised its still floating around. Doug from Viridis Energy Inc was the one that tallied the numbers, made the PDF and passed it to the dealers..... I don't think he updated it with the stuff on the review site. There is more out there that could be added. Glad some are still getting use out of it.

Disclaimer: Some of the mills have improved their stuff since I did the testing. Also some batches can be better or worse than what I got for results. YMMV as they say! ;)

If you have the list while checking out pellets and a goofy guy asks you about it? It might just be me! :p

My brand isn't there.

This is what they were selling for Oakies.

Jay you did try the Okie Black Hills pellets?
I wonder why they say made in the USA?

Little pricey for me. Wanted $7.25 per bag. I may go back for a ton which is a little cheaper.

Northeast Pellets from Ashland, ME.

I burned them before they had the fire and they were a decent pellet. Now that they've rebuilt they're making pellets made from 100% recycled wood. I don't know what they mean by that, but in my mind I picture demolition material beiong made into pellets. Harman's will burn junk pellets, but no thanks for demo.

Black Hills Heat are made in South Dakota…..
Okanagan Pellets are made in BC Canada
Two totally different mills…..

The Black Hills(Ponderosa Pine) are made in South Dakota. They are bagged by Okanagan(Viridis Energy) at the Upton plant. But they are not the BC softwood Okies(spf). Totally different pellet from a different mill. That's why they have them in different bags.

Yes I have tried them. I got a sample(pre production) to try and they did pretty good for me. I have not burned the latest stuff, They made a few changes.... So they should be even better than what I burned.
