Hi folks,

I just wanted to show my appreciation for all of the great info that you all have given to me here at The Pellet Mill by following-through with my word on posting pics of my setup.
I purchased a Hearthstone "Heritage" pellet stove early this Summer and had it installed this past September. I picked-up some GREAT tips and ideas since that time while here on the message board, including how to put together a pellet cleaner. I made one today, took pics of it as I went through the process of fabrication and assembly, and figured I'd take pics of my pellet stash and stove for you while I was at it.

Hope you all stay warm and stove-trouble-free this upcoming Winter.

Best regards,

Looks like a nice set up and cozy at the same time, look at the stove and then out the window at the snow, and back at the stove with a good feeling.

That is one very neat setup. You should be toasty warm this winter, and saving a few bucks. I have no idea what oil cost there, but here, it is way too much. We first burned pellets in 2008. I bought my set up with some cashed in leave time so no real out of pocket cost seen. We started saving right away. As to that sifting for pellet fines, I did that at first, but later found that my stove really didn't have any issue with them. When I clean out the hopper, I do find the fines around the pellet intake. I usually scoop them up and use them in the hopper when I start up the stove. If you haven't found out yet, keep a vac running when you do any cleaning of the burn pot or inside of the stove. You will keep the dust down to a min. that way. Do you have a surge protector on that stove plug? If not, get a good one. It may save you a very expensive repair.

Thanks for the kind words. The chest is something we've had for a few years now and believe it or not, it's been empty all this time. Now it has found it's purpose. :)

Wow. Nicely done!
