Bye bye lilhouse... hello heatmor

New here. So first off hello all. I have been using this lilhouse heater to heat our 2000 sft. home for several years now, and i have to say it did serve its purpose. it created a hot room, and kept the rest cozy for many years. But since it has payed for itself several times over, and since we are done with what we have called the hot room, we saved up and decided to go with the Heatmor. have several friends using this 100 model and they are all very pleased with it.
I became a member here cause i find so much good advice and ideas here. Everyone keep the info coming and as i find out new ideas and inventions i will do the same.

the above pic is of the lil house forced air heater. and this is of the heatmor we purchased. have pictues of the concrete pad work and some of the ditch and pipe work. lol forgot how much work it is to put in a new heat source. lol

Hope it serves you as well as the old one. I know all about the work involved, installed a french drain around our house this weekend and had to wheel barrow most of the stone/dirt as I broke my tractor early on.

i bet that was no fun at all muncybob. the old tractors are a great thing ...... when they r working. mine is still running good to no backhoe on it so ditchin was all on me.

Well, it was good exercise if nothing else. Tractor is fixed so it's back to seat time! Good luck with the new unit.

well i did what they all told me. have seen alot of posts on here regarding the many different ways of doing it. i assume it will be ok. but i will let you all know if it isnt

When you say you did your underground the way "they said to do it". Did you foam in trench?

no. no foam in trench. the way all my bud's did theirs. so far they have had no trouble with a big reduction in the return water. used the bubble wrapped inso..... with the corrugated black pipe over that. i have seen the foam in the trench on here and thats a great idea. was telling some of the gys today about that and they seemed to like it too. but we all kinda agree... a bit over kill for Missouri winters we came to conclude.

well took the old propane furnace fire box out tonite to make room for the heat exchanger. the box was bad anyway. was a challenge, them things r in there good. we have not lit it in oer 5 years since it went bad.... no good anyway and i wanted the extra room for the exchanger.
