Hurricane last week, now snow.

Trees are really suffering now. Branches are snapping off left and right with this heavy snow on the leaves.

Stay safe guys, we'll be prayin' for ya. Keep us posted on the storm.

Hope this one passes quickly and all the trees and limbs were taken down by Sandy. You all don't need any more grief.

I have to admit, it is was beautiful last night. Dangerous, but beautiful. The white radiant glow of ice and snow just lit up everything. First time this year.

I quickly cleaned off the car when I got home, and using gasbuddy.com found a gas station that had gas. this is at 11pm last night, in the middle of the storm, I thought not many people would be out looking for gas. Well, the line stretched around the block beyond what I could see. I turned around and came back home.

Temps rose to upper 30's this morning, only a couple inches of snow, melting.......

It is strange having a Nor'easter off the ocean being the first snowstorm of the season. We usually have a cold front from Canada maikng the first flurries fly. I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

I have thought about the people down the coast a few times trying to get through this. Supposed to be 70::Fthis weekend. Really weird weather lately.

They were telling us all rain but we did get some snow. It was coming down pretty good when I left work but we only got about 2 inches total. Howling wind the entire time, first time I packed a full load for the overnight burn.

Right now its sleeting :( and we should see 60F on the weekend. ;hm

When talking to my 83yr old father ,lifelong waterman, his comment for the weather here for the last year.. "Never seen anything like this"...'bout sums it up..Just glad we are still safe and sound. So many of our friends on the bayside towns and barrier islands, have lost so much...In the past 6 seasons we have had two hurricane landings,an incredibly mild winter, extreme thunderstorms, a hot summer and now snow, when it has only frosted mildly twice. We could sure stand some normal... for a change.

Ok zap, when is the next one coming? You started a week before sandy, and a week before athena. Whats next?

I'm still getting used to snow and leaves on the trees. The snow does look nice with the fall colors though.

Nuttin,:) looks like a storm for the west with a warm up for the east coast. Let's hope Mother Nature gives the East Coast a break, especially in the hard hit areas.

I'll check the weather rock again in a couple of days, my guess is the next storm will hit the East Coast the week when everyone is heading out or back from Thanksgiving.

Looks like all the low pressure systems are out west or moving of the northeast coast, that high pressure should be coming our way.

Under weather maps put it on 36 hours.

If this weather we are having on the eastern seaboard is any indication what the winter is going to be like, I'm not sure I have enough back to handle the snow. The wednesday cycle is starting to get old, hurricane last week, a nor'easter this week.

They predicted we'd get the edge of the Nor'Easter, but we seem to have been spared again. Spozeta be hi 60s on Sunday & Monday. Mizewell get some ridin in on the Ultra...

Our temps dropped about 20degrees with this cold front. Starting to see frost in the low areas. Lit the T6 yesterday. It'll be heading east soon.

I'm in Phoenix for a couple days. 85 and sunny here!

Woke up this morning to a little dusting of snow on the ground. Our temps have plummeted in the last couple of days. Now 30°F's daytime, 20°F's nighttime. B-r-r-r.

Getting warm on the East coast now. Was in the 20s overnight mid week. Forecast calls for 60s on the weekend. That will be a nice break for the folks without heat or worse off than that.
