kinda looks like a type of pine, but also mimics a type of beech. Does it smell like pine? That'd be the giveaway.
As a matter of fact I sniffed it many times but just didn't get that Pine smell, so IDK.
Dark now can't take a picture of and grain.
By the way that piece is a 4 x 6 part of a big pallet

Is it heavy wood? If so, I'm saying possibly beech.. those little brown flecks remind me of beech, but beech shouldn't be in palletwood, so its probably a conifer.....not any poplar I ever saw.
