My Stacks gone :(

Moving - had to sell all my wood - 15 cords that I hand split and didn't get the pleasure of burning! I had to wipe away tears as the truck pulled away with the 9 cords of oak!

My new place - has a stinking heatilator gas log - GAG me! I'll have to replace that and start all over again!

Here's my stacks in all there glory. May my neighbors enjoy it's warmth!

Beautiful yard. I probably would have paid a moving company to bring 2 trucks. 1 for the contents of the house and the second for all that wood. Sad day indeed, okay to cry, just dont do it over the wood.
Starting all over sucks, but I'm sure you'll find the perfect stove.

So I'm guessing your move was far enough that it wasn't worth moving the wood. Looked great, and I'm sure you will do it again.

Booooo! Sad to hear your story and the fact that the wood only heated you ONCE... Like others have said you will surely bounce back but of course will take a couple years to catch up. Post some pics when the stove arives.

I went through the same pain a year ago, sold 8 cord of seasoned and split oak for 100 a cord. Spent all last winter stoveless. All is well now as i have the oslo up and running and 8 cord and counting split and stacked

Those stacks were glorious. Wonder how many swings of the maul it took to make 'em. I bet in a few years your new stacks will be even bigger & better.

Sorry for your loss....that really sucks!

My best friend and cutting partner moved this summer, he has almost as much wood as I do. I told him if he left that wood behind or sold it, I would kill him........

So he moved the wood to his new house.

Yeah - that's a summer time pic. Moving from NJ to Atlanta. Not even sure I will need a wood stove in HotLanta. Work is moving me.

Loved the responses - especially amazing grace! Good stuff. I knew you guys would understand. Yeah - the minute the for sale sign went up - my wood burning neighbors were asking about my stacks. They left smiling ear to ear. Well it was good exercise and fun anyway.
