Scrubbing away...

Gonna have the Dixettes GF's parents & her sister... they can't move back into their house in Babylon for 4 - 6 months, courtesy of Sandy.

Good thing they're buying the the grub ... the one thing I said was not to bring me a frozen turkey Wednesday night

Awe heck, ya just need a longer pole to drop the frozen butter ball into the fryer!

Just kidding! ;-)

Cheers and Happy Turkey Day!

I'm not cooking for the first time in years. My wife's sister and her husband just bought their first house and want to host. I'm sorta happy, but I really like to cook.

Does this mean we are all invited to Dixies house if we bring something? I make a mean Twinkie casserole, but I may have trouble getting some of the ingredients.

You guys can work the splitter, which is what I'll be doing during the day between being in the kitchen.

Gotta shrink that scrounge pile down ;)

I guess that's ok, I usually eat a ton of turkey and pass out on the couch. Now that I am boarder line obese I should probably split your wood by hand!

That'd be OK, too

Well, at least they gave you plenty of notice!!! (note the sarcasm in my voice).
Have 'em get turkey breasts. No messin' with all those goofy bones, and they cook faster too.

Sounds like fun. Be sure not to run out of wine, beer, booze or whatever you use to deal with family.

Never really dealt with the "in laws yet. Meet dad at 'the parents are coming to check out the house we want to buy, he seemed okey doke. Meet the Mom out at the museum during Fall festival.

Turkey is in the fridge, defrosting, and I found out at work today that we get a turkey for the owners >>

Had all sorts of stuff happen to our plans- so we decided we're cooking. Now the inlaws are coming- I'm actually happy with this. I like cooking T-day, and I get along well with the inlaws.

I get along with my in-laws better than I get along with half of my family. ;) . . . Plus when you're the one cooking on Thanksgiving you get to cook what you look like to eat (i.e. no green Jello fruit salad or orange Jello/cottage cheese/fruit salad.)
