Not odd, just interesting. Because they all use the same box, they don't require individual certification? We're just waiting for a Chinook with a different exterior? Just curious, that's all.

Yes, look at the PE stoves are the same way. Same firebox only requires the one certification it appears.

Vista Series C, Vista Classic, Vista Artisan, Vista Insert, and Alderlea T4
Alderlea, Super 27 Design D, Spectrum, Step D1
Standard, Pacific Ins, Spectrum Classic and Fusion, ALT5INS
Summit Series A, Summit Insert, Summit Classic and Alderlea T6

I don't know about the cleanest burning stoves but according to the EPA wood burning stove list the King is #1 in efficiency and the Princess is tied at #2 with the WS PH.

Lopi (Travis) Cape Cod is listed at .45 gm/hr. A dealer here is burning one; I need to get over there in the morning sometime when they fire it up. They alternate between the Liberty and the Cape Cod.

I've been racking my brain re. uploading pics and spreadsheets without them being 4 - 5 megs each.
Lets try again ..if it works you should see 2 spreadsheet pics and 2 pics of the chinook install.

You didnt record the cat temp? Id be curious to see what it was throughout a burn like that.

My probe doesn't have temps on it. I do record the position of the marker using the clock. ie. 12 0'clock is the marker pointing straight up --ie. vertical to the writing on the bottom of the probe. 3 o'clock is where it is on your watch. etc. "Pegged" is maxed out - probably around 4 1/2 (ie. 4:30)
You can see this recorded on the SS which is on page 2 of this thread.

Pegged is probably about 1800, 2 o clock is probably 1200, I bought a condor with numbers and by comparing the two side by side thats what I estimate, 12 o clock is probably 800-900.

Thanks for the numbers! Wow - pegged is 1800F -that`s hot!!

What temp moves you from ìnactive to active. I`m guessing about 500.
