In The Woods
I started the morning getting the rest of the wood down from up top (two loads of Cherry) then I grabbed another two loads from the lower part of our property, all is stacked.

I still have another 3-4 loads of Red Maple & Cherry from the lower part of our property. Today it was nice one minute chitty the next.

Pics 6451 & 6453 are from up top.

Great pics zap, of course we have come to expect that!
No snow on the ground here but last night northern Mich had a winter storm warning out with 5-8 inches of lake effect snow. :)

wishlist, south of us it's suppose to be worse, 6-12 inches of snow.

It was fun at first Scotty Overkill, then the winds picked up so after the four load I came inside for lunch an built a fire. I was planning on burning some dead pine outside but the wind was gusting pretty good so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

It's nice that we have some snow early, the streams, rivers and brooks need it bad. Looks like next weeks storm will miss us up here, how about your area?

Zap, got to get it done. I'll hate it when there is a good bit of snow on the ground because right now I can't get myself out of the woods. Seems like either can you.

I won't feel bad not cutting in the woods this winter, if mother nature gives us snow we'll be cross country skiing an maybe a small fire by the brook.:)

Great pics Zap, winter's a comin'. Nice to have the right toys and the space to use them.

Is snow early this year or is that normal? We had super mild winter last year, wonder what we get this year.

This is normal for our area, we had a mild winter last year too. I'm looking forward to working in the woods around the house this winter, lots of limbing up some old pine then burn them in the fireplace.

I have an area that needs some cleanup which will allow me to put in some new trails.

Nice zap. On and off snow here, but just squalls. Wind were brutal. Storms will explode far northeast. Nice getting the wood down

Nice pictures.
Snow has a way of slowing stuff down to an enjoyable pace.
Relax & enjoy :)
