What started out ( I thought ) was going to be a hassle, headache, saving a dollar mistake, wound up turning into Great Customer Service. The first flex pro liner was defective and the second also, puckers on the inside after unrolling it. However, when I called them about the second one they seemed as puzzled as I was about the matter. I asked if I could opt out for the rigid complete kit and pay the difference and low an behold they came back an said " yes, at no extra charges for the trouble :)
And told me to do as I wish with the flex kit.
My hat goes off to Chimney Liner Depot Customer Service ! Todd 2
PS. Talked to real people every call also.

I had a great experience there as well. They matched a price I found, then made a custom size top plate for me beyond standard there standard sizes.

But for the record I think they must of had a bad run or a supplier gave them bad product? I ordered mine about 4 weeks ago and like I said in the 10 feet or so that I can see there was nothing that remotely looked like that?

Todd, that is great to hear. Also very nice to talk to real people on the phone...

They did say it was some kind of bad run or something and was working on solving it. Other than a time delay getting it installed I can't complain because I had some custom stuff made that they will half to remake to fit the rigid. Thought I was going to half to loose on that but they really took care of me. :)

I ordered my liner a few months ago... After hours online. Talked to some dude on the online chat, matched an eBay price for a lesser quality liner. At some point my computer connection crapped out, he sent me his direct number. I actually asked to the same dude I was chatting with, after hours!
Those people run a business the right way.

They are good folks. I have bought two liner kits from them. But I have also seen every one of those double wall liners do exactly what yours did. Hard to coil and then uncoil them without it happening. That was five years ago. Hopefully somebody has figured it out. But those two of yours tell me that they haven't.

that's exactly what I had happen, and how it went for me, minus the lost connection.

Like I said, I bought one about 4 weeks ago and not a problem, I installed it like 3 weeks ago and burned for 2 days or so on it. It may have buldged somewhere I just did not see it.

yea it was this new laptop, if you do your fingers like an iphone to increase or decrease pic size the resolution will get bigger or smaller. And I think my palm resized the screen and it looked bold, I think I was at like 125% or something??

OK. I am confused. Your first post about it said the first one kinked and the pics were of the replacement? If the first one had no problems why did you replace it?

maybe I confused you with my bungled multiquote, that got all screwed up from typing on this laptop. These things are only good for browsing, I keep increasing font size miss[elling and putting my cursor back into the text im typing. I left the miss spellings in to show you this thing!

Todd 2,

This is James from Chimney Liner Depot. Your seam-welded rigid liner is on its way. Again, we want to apologize publicly for the issues you had. We've isolated the problem that caused your liner to have some "dimples" on the interior wall. We also appreciate you complimenting our customer service.

James

glad to see chimney liner depot on here! I was very satisfied with my service and product. LIKE I SAID, NO DIMPLES HERE!!!

Was just about to install a smooth wall liner from rockford chimney supply. Looked at top end before insulating and saw one little crimp which didn't bother me. Later i checked the bottom and every pleat after 4 ft or so CAM00051.jpg has a crimp like that. Bummed since i have a manlift all lined up for tomorrow as well. Don't trust it now :(

There is a new liner that some have available online, it is a medium weight liner. We call ours the Flex King HD. Due to its construction it is slightly heavier, but will not have any issues like the smooth inner wall liner have. It is a great alternative to the smooth inner wall liners.
