Didja ever hear of the banana in the tailpipe trick? Well I stuffed a case down your liner last week

I get stuff similar to that on my flame guide. Very light and brushes right off without a problem. I tried taking a pic while the stove was running so the quality is crap but you get the idea...

I noticed that but I also had it last year when burning Greene team and didn't think anything of it because it it's so light and fluffy. Until it looks to be causing problems it doesn't really bother me much.

Infernos don't do that

ducking and running........

Well running nothing but Somersets for the past few days and the bees just started making some nests again. Changed the setting to Hardwood to give the pot more air. The wife suggested maybe its because we didnt paint the inside of the firebox my reply was so its gonna burn off the paint anyway ( we are always right. right? :) )
considering it isnt hard when touched i really dont care its there just weird. suppose to get warm here for a few days so maybe after that warm spell is over ill try some Hamers or vermonts to see what happens

So you're saying it wasn't the MWP?

Do you run a Large Humidifier near the stove??

What are your humidity levels?

Well never had this issue before i would think its pellet specific but a few others have told me they have seen this using MWP so i assumed it. Then again if you take Jays statement about sap the sap residue could be there after changing pellets and still sticky for any ash to stick In any event i just wanted to post my findings because i stated it was the MWP and may not be Thats not fair to MWP

nope but i have told her its about time to break it out
i dont have an exact humidity reading, but my nose been dry from the heat so i have to say no humidity

Then again if you take Jays statement about sap

I don't think the stuff will actually stick to the stove and stay there(should burn off?). Not even sure its sap. Just something I have seen with 100% oak pellets(in my stove anyway). Only place I have seen it stick is just above the burnpot. And its usuallly just on the cast iron. If I clean the stove and change brands, And they aren't oak. I don't seem to get these.

I have an OAK an I though it might have been moisture. But I still got these with the stove suckin the warm dry air from inside the house.

OMV,

Must be that that little old AE can't handle them dagnabbit hardwood pellets.
Time to fire up the Enviro.

lol.

Run it hotter and see if happens again.
And quit burnin' them infernos,

like i said not the stove operator error, i think i found the cause, feed rate to high getting an overall dirty burn now playing with different pellets and trying new things gets confusing for us old timers :p
lowered feed rate so we will see what happens if it clears up ill owe ScotL an apology for blaming MWP

so like i said i owe Scott an apology is was not the MWP, it was to high of a feed rate, so MY fault. Sorry Scott ! ( i dont apologize often as im usually never wrong :p )
