In The Woods
If Mother Nature allows me, I would like this topped off Cherry before we get some big snow.

Pic 6350 is the top of the Cherry, 6351 is tha base.

Get it Zap. Time to start working on a sleigh to tow behind your UTV. You will need those tracky thing a mabobs for each wheel though. Then you can drag wood out all winter long.;)

Zap, how dry is this dead stuff you cut down? In terms of seasoning.

This afternoon I replied to your post, it must have went into cyber space, what type of wood was in your truck?

The topped off Cherry still needs a good year, I've had some luck with a few being ready to burn after being inside for a week. Usually the trees without the bark that have been up for some time are the ones that will be about 22-23 percent off the stump.

Almost all White Ash. But on the last(third) row on the back of the truck on the left side is another type of wood. And I do not know what it is to tell you the truth.

I got pines like that! About 1/3rd the way up on a dead one needs about a year because they are still kind of moist, but the rest of the way up are cut, split and burned. Pretty cool! You find that too on the standing dead hardwood?

Same here, I should cut more of the dead standing but never do.

You must have a few cherry trees around your place.

Looks like some good wood.

Zap, for sure that thing needs to be cut. Have fun!
