It finally warmed up!

..... to -29 been in the -30s and low -40s all week suppose to continue for at least 12 more days until it gets close to 0. Havent been around too busy feeding the stove.. On the plus side it is -29 outside and 76 inside right now. Love my stove time to sit around in my underwear and hope I dont have to visit the wood shed for a few days.

Ok do trees actually grow up there or do you have to get them delivered ? If they grow what kind of tree is it ? I have always wondered about this.

Thats it I declare it winter, -5 this am and -6 right now if my $9 WallyWorld I/O thermometer can be trusted. I think it is fairly close since mustaches and nose hairs get frosty at that temp and mine were.

Still got ya beat by a long shot and we have a nasty wind today around -51 with windchill

We are on day 13 of t being -25 or colder with no end in sight. At least from this point on you can't feel a difference until about -60 because its just damn cold and you freeze instantly.

We only hit about -30 for a couple nights last year. It beats the years when it lasts weeks on end. A friend who grew up here went to college in AK and said although it got colder there it seemed to feel colder here due to the humidity, any thoughts on that one?
