Leveling the pellets? Lol. Naw, maybe making a half filled hopper into pellet mountain though ;)

What can you say, they're boring stoves and we like em that way.

Technically, Everytime you open the door and fiddle with the burnpot is considered cleaning. Just sayin! :p
Except that he didn't say how many bags were burned of the lousy CleanFire (AKA NEWP). He doesn't want to get into a "how many bags burned w/o ever opening the door" contest w/ me. ;)

Oh, wait a minute, I forgot.....my stove is an ENGLANDER. I guess I have NO CHANCE against the uber-expensive and complicated Harman's, do I?

Uhh, no I didn't say how many. I'm thinkin 25 bags of Cleanfires, but I'll hafta go out & count to be sure. Before that, now that I think about it, I had 5 bags of Logik-e left over from an April purchase, so they're in the count as well... I wouldn't bother trying to compete with you IMM. You are the "Pellet Porcine King" & being a mere mortal, I don't stand a chance...

Well, I just got done and I too had a nice speed bump. I also had a lot of ash in the stove from the Power House pellets. After the cleaning I threw in Turmans, I wanna see how much ash I get till next months cleaning from them.

60!?!? Holy softies. Cheap too, I bet.

Burning Blazers, I believe they are a soft wood (Douglas fir). They seem to be very good pellets, but my choices were between these and total crap. I paid 268$ a pallet. Burning 2 bags a day @ -20.

I'd love to see AK someday....in the summer. Wow! Friday looks nice ;)

I was in Anchorage in 08 in the summertime. It was nice when it wasn't raining...Made it to the Big Lake & Denali, too. Never was able to see the mountain, til we got back to Anchorage. We could see that damn mountain from 130+ miles away. It's bigger than Mt Everest, but Everest is on a high plateau...

Freakin heat wave even! Dang that's cold. BRRRRRRRRRRR!
Not according to any Canadian you talk to. Here's an oldie but a goodie about winter temps:

"50°F - New Yorkers try to turn on the heat. Canadians plant gardens.

40°F - Californians shiver uncontrollably. Canadians sunbathe.

35°F - Italian cars won't start. Canadians drive with the windows down.

32°F - Distilled water freezes. Canadian water gets thicker.

20°F - Floridians wear coats, gloves & wool hats. Canadians throw on a t-shirt.

15°F - Californians begin to evacuate the state. Canadians go swimming.

0°F - New York landlords finally turn up the heat. Canadians have the last cook-out before it gets cold.

-10°F - People in Miami cease to exist. Canadians lick flag poles to see if their tongue will stick.

-20°F - Californians fly away to Mexico. Canadians throw on a light jacket.

-40°F - Hollywood disintegrates. Canadians rent some videos.

-60°F - Mt. St. Helens freezes. Canadian Girl Guides begin selling cookies door to door.

-80°F - Polar bears begin to evacuate Antarctica. Canadian Boy Scouts postpone "Winter Survival" classes until it gets cold enough.

-100°F - Santa Claus abandons the North Pole. Canadians pull down their ear flaps.

-173°F - Ethyl alcohol freezes. Canadians get frustrated when they can't thaw the keg.

-297°F - Microbial life survives on dairy products. Canadian cows complain of farmers with cold hands.

-460°F - ALL atomic motion stops. Canadians start saying "Cold 'nuff for ya?"

-500°F - Hell freezes over. The Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup."

Good cleaning today and also the LBT. Just finished my first ton this season.

Hey Pete, the polar bears must have evacuated Antarctica a very long time ago as there hasn't been a single one sighted there ever. I think that it should be penguins instead of polar bears.

Hey I just noticed that DAKSY and I are niehbors, East Greenbush here. I might add I am good friends with a few APer's and went to school there.

Fully cleaned the insert this week including yanking it out and flipping it over to clean the squirrel cage blower. Some of the cloth 'gasketing/slide material' between the stove and the frame has gone the way of the dodo bird, and holy hell this thing was hard to slide back in this time. Gonna hit it with some Fluid Film next time I remove the stove. Either that or I gotta start hitting the gym and the Wheaties again.

Next time you "Yank" it, have some 7/8" tape gasket available & replace your slide surfaces...

That is for sure what I really need to do. Would I have to go to a Harman dealer or would HD or Lowes sell it?

Lowes and/or HD should have some, since they sell pellet stoves. Double check on their websites that they carry the correct diameter and length you need. They also carry hi temp silicone.
