Was at my local "Hardware" store today and found some pretty good deals on the Englander 30-NC's and 13-NC's.
These prices are pretty low and the gentleman said they have been that low for some time now.

I am unaware on how the Englander Zip Code thing works (there was a thread "Englander Zip code dealio") . But thought that maybe someone could get a good stove for pretty cheap? Again, not sure how the ship from store thing works. There were a few geniuses that could find a 30-NC, if it were on sale, 17 states away :)

The 30 was $675 and the 13 was $421.. Both pretty good prices. IMO Figured I would pass this along. It was in Ashland Ohio. This should probably go in the For Sale section. But will get more views here and also may get those genius minds looking at different zip codes again? Just a thought?

Crummy pics. I was in a hurry. Didn't want to be "That Guy" taking pics of merch ;em

Interesting, online for that very same item number is showing 0 in stock for both of those stoves at that location. Maybe they have wrote them off already so whatever they sell for on the floor is extra money?

If I was in your boots I would snatch them up and resell them.

That 30-NC is tempting... but I'm on the lookout for a Drolet HT-2000.

Now... any chance you'd be interested in picking one up and shipping it up to Canada for me? :D We don't get sale prices on stoves like that... not even on stoves made in Canada!

$275 less than what I paid back in July.

Was just there a few hours ago... So they are there. That does seem odd. I am not familiar with how BB stores operate, but you may be right.

Maybe a call would get it straightened out? Just figured I would pay it forward.

Why the Drolet over the 30? Same size stove. Same capabilities. But, the 30 is a whole lot cheaper. Do you like the look of the Drolet better? They kind of look the same to me.

There was a few 13-NC's shoved back there. But only one 30-NC.

The guy wasn't sure if there was more in the back? He just knew they had these :) It was to much to ask him to.go look.

HT-2000 is supposed to be better at convection heating... and does have a higher BTU output. Plus, can't find the 30 around here... not common at all. Most canadian retailers don't carry them. If I need to order parts the Drolet stoves are easier to source stuff for.

The first might be true, but I don't know, I have my doubts. The second, BTU output, is false. Never pay attention to BTU output. The Drolet has a 3.4 cu ft firebox. The 30 has a 3.5 cu ft firebox. BTU output will be the same.

That is a hurdle. Being in the US I rarely have to think about this. But, I would think Englander would ship to Canada?

But, if I could save $400-$1000 on the stove (Seeing the Drolet listed for up to $1790?!), it would be hard to pass that up.

The zip code thing worked when they had them marked down but they were shipped straight from the plant via online order. The ones ordered from the Ashland store for shipment are $899 and $649 respectively now.

Oh. I thought that they were shipped from that Zip code. They were just given a price for that store. Got it.

Well, anyone close to Ashland Ohio can get a 30-NC on the cheap :) Sorry people....

Shew them are a pretty steel beast.

What gets me is i payed $1500 for the mag.......
