AG or extract?

I'm a bonafide hophead. Love my IPAs, though I like to dabble in funky Belgians now and then. I do enjoy the spiced winter beers, but not enough to make a batch. I'll be happy to sample yours.

Im on my way, better be some triple stout and nut brown ale when I get there,(will bring gift of locust for trade)

I for one, think that your shelves are dangerously overloaded.

I think that the front bottle (or three) from each row should be disposed of promptly! ;)

Wish I was closer. My beloved wife purchased me a beer making kit for my birthday last spring, and I have yet to try it out. I did grow and harvest almost four plastic grocery bags of hops this past summer.

Will probably break everything out once we return from Christmas travels, and try it out before New Years.

Cheers!

There is an excelent book to use called how to brew by John Palmer. You can get a pdf free online if you look. The actual paper book isn't to expensive either. I have a few books that is by far the best I have seen yet.

Good luck and enjoy! Ask me any question and I will try and help you where I can. Brewing is a blast.

Why don't you keg? With a dedicated drink fridge you could easily stash a 5 gallon keg in there and skip all the bottle headaches and time wasted waiting for carb up. I have an irish red in the secondary waiting for me to get motivated enough to bottle it.

These are for Christmas presents I did not want to give away kegs ;lol. Although some one could give me a few kegs ;ex;)

Nice! Last year I had some nice brew and cider bottled up. This year, I'm mired in graduate school, which will hopefully produce much anticipated fruits down the road a bit (which is why I'm bumping around hearth.com when I'm supposed to be writing a paper on sexual selection in plants _g)

HAHA I wondered why I had not seen you in a while ! Good luck on the schooling too it is a rough road for sure. My wife is about to graduate from college let me tell you that was a hard decision for her. Going back to school is hard when you have been out for a while. You all have my respect.

I wouldn't mind tasting some of it. :)

I definitely appreciate the offer. I live down near Jackson so probably about 1.5 hours away. If I am in the area I will have to take you up on the offer.

I'm a brown ale fan myself.

I just stopped at the brew shop to pick up the ingredients for that recipe. It will be the first brew I am doing on my own. This will be my Christmas vacation project. That and bottling up the cider.

What, manufacturing plants? Steel plants? Seems like the paper should be pretty easy.

I can't remember the style of beer but it used a hard candy in the secondary ferment and wow was it strong in content, after you got by that was a great beer.

Don't know how I missed this post! Man that sounds awesome Pete! Would love to try that home brewed beer someday!
