Calling all Vernon Pro's :)

The stove externally looks the same and other than the obvious changes in the controller and making it automated?

And me be to lazy to look in the manuals ;)

Is the heat exchanger the same in the non AE as it is in the AE? Or does the non AE use "Tubes" like the rest of the Quad line-up?

Thanks :)

Oh you know he's gotta be up to something.

I believe you would get more heat out of the AE baffle than the tubes just because of the amount of surface area being heated. Kinda like the accordian heat exchanger in the Harmans provides more surface area to be heated.

Yeah. If they changed it, it has to be better... It wouldn't be worse.

But the old non AE's were probably no slouch? How does the exhaust path go on the non AE's? Is it similar to the Classic Bay? Where the exhaust path goes down and follows the same path the tubes take?

I'm intrigued. Now I have to download both manuals. I was trying to be lazy and its gonna cause me to stay up late and drink a few adult beverages :)

right non ae tubes ae dont know what their called spikes? divets something lol
In the electronics industry they are referred to as a pin grid array. The pins cause turbulence in the flowing air and the turbulence causes better heat exchange with the plate.

No....

I will be replacing the Quad. But not adding another stove.

I am actually in the process of selling the old PDV and the CPM. I think I have burned about 20 bags total through them (combined) and half was when I 1st got them. Now the old stove sits in the corner. :(

The CPM will be easy to sell. The 17 yr old PDV will be a lil harder!!! The Quad will be the hardest to let go and may end up sitting in the shop.

Gonna try and sell'em all and get a.... ...... To be continued :)

My money will be on .-.. ;) :p

Your prob right... !!! Although I'm stuck on the 1st two.

So the _-__ or_-__ So you have a 50/50 chance of being right.

One is made by ------ (short for----------) and the other is a ------ :)
