Once we get a date. Im limited the holiday week, due to holiday and vacation limitations, so hope for weekend,or later.....

Latest from Chris at Vt Wood Pellets:
"We typically run 24 hours 6 days a week from Sunday night at 5 pm until the following Saturday at 7pm. I will check with our production manager, Rick, to see what his scheduling plans are for the holidays."

Remember from Central Ct, looking at a 3-4 hour drive in good weather each way, plus plant tour and BS time.

a noon time tour on a saturday would probably be ideal... well, for me at least. leave CT for 8 ish am and be there for noon, do a lunch or something after, and be home for dinner.

Thats what id like to see. And usually a lot less traffic coming through Hartford and Springfield. Do the other members here thing a Saturday would work ???

Have asked about a Saturday noon (or later) tour.
Will post his reply.
We should get a consensus on a date or dates.

Is a hearth.com group tour of the Maine Woods Pellet Company facility still of interest to anyone as previously mentioned???

Perfect, Thanks

You guys need help, seriously..I think the pellet pig club offers some type of 12 step program for this.

If however, somebody can work in a brewery tour..let's say before or after the pellet mill tour (or both!), then count me in! It is after all, in my neck of the woods ;)

I'd be down for a trip to MWP. My schedule is pretty flexible so I'd be available at whatever time is best for everyone else.
Someone should probably start a separate thread though...

Just got email back from Vt Wood Pellets...
"Back from Wisconsin, tanned, rested and ready. OK no tan. Anyway, Saturday noon works fine. Do you have any dates yet?"
Now it's up to us. Any thoughts?

I dont want to hog anything in this discussion, but I think I posted December 29th, If we wanted to go between the Holidays.

I am good with that but I don't really have the driving distance the rest of you have.

I would like to get a general concensus of a date. If not I will just come up with one and that will be it. As I am probably the closest
(about 20 min). I think whomever is coming from the futher distances should have a say.
