I found these at a local lumber yard, 'Powerhouse' coming out of PA. Ive heard good things,.. I can get them for 239 ton.... cleaning the stove now before filling hopper,...I shall let you know...

good pellet, but a little ashy. I have 2 ton got them for $189 per ton last April.

Dude, I had no idea that Chivers were pellet heads too!
 
OK,.. here's been my results with the twins so far ,... although I only did the one twin,.. the other is still 'untouched' :eek:
Power house are large pellets,. which always seems to mess with my feed rate,.. especially when the stove is set to burn small pellets, ie GS. So once I bumped her' up to 4-4,.. I could keep a decent flame going without it nearly going out due to low fuel. Bigger pellets definitely feed at a slower rate in my stove.!!? (is that true with all augers?) The heat from these pellets is decent,.. but surprisingly a lot of ash considering it seems to be a hot burner...but although the ash was bulky,.. there were no clinkers. I would by these by the ton,....only if I couldnt get Sets for the same or less $$$.
