Hickory is top notch wood IMO.
Oak 's not bad either.
Looking good.
Ever snow there ? ? LOL :)

Not much snow the past two seasons. Maybe 2 inches so far this season. It did get somewhat cold the last few days.

Bacffin- LOOKING GOOD! If you keep going, you might get trapped inside a giant circle of splits:eek:

I'm about 1hr sw of you and last year was a dud for sure but the year before we had record snow!! We were riding sleds into April in MA!! Hoping for another year like that this year to make up for last years dud!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to actually using the new snow blower I bought last year.

I inherited my dad's 10+ year old one last year, went and grabbed it during a small 2-3" accumulation late last october IIRC. Ended up using it once!! Between oil changes, fixing broken pull start cord (it's got electric start too, but like things to work) and other misc maintenance, I've spent more time working on it than actually using it!! Had one more accumulation that I actually used it on last year, but it ended up melting in a day or so anyways!!

As opposed to the year before when nobody would dare enter my driveway!! We have all 4x4 jeeps, most of them lifted and modified for serious offroad use, and I was always working so not much time to shovel the snow that came every week it seemed so the driveway was really treacherous for anyone without a serious 4x4. Brothers chevy 1500 4x4 even got stuck! Couldn't get any packages delivered either!! But I liked having to actually use 4x4 every day in the driveway, hehe. The wife didn't so much though.

We are moving into an active weather pattern next week Dave. Snow should be on the ground soon!
Thanks

Geee, I just looked this up. Willow has more M/btu's than white pine. What are you doing tomorrow? Is it split yet :)

It's quartered. Welcome to it.

Are you looking to get just get rid of it?
Why don't you split it and burn it?
