Any 007 fans in here? Susan & I went to see Skyfall right after work yesterday (had a gift certificate) & hit the 4PM showing. One other person in the whole theater. Good flick! Action-packed as ALL the Bond movies are. Humorous dialogue & a pretty good story line & an easy to dislike villain played by Javier Bardem. He played the nutjob assassin in "No Country for Old Men." Definitely requires BIG screen viewing. Still not sold on Daniel Craig as Bond, but he's better than Timothy Dalton...Go see it!

..Dalton was a poor Bond for sure. Not sure if it was actually him, or the films. I havn't seen Skyfall yet, but I am otherwise a huge Bond fan. You know, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was also written by Fleming. I also enjoy the original Casino Royale (the comedy/spoof).

Saw skyfall a few weeks ago. I really liked it. Best Daniel Craig edition yet, and I like that they are bringing back the Q character and some of the gags again.

Dalton certainly was the worst (or second worst after whats his name who only was in one).

...George Lazenby...otherwise known as that guy wh played Bond once.

Actually, as I heard it, he was told by his manager that the whole "Bond" thing was on it's way out & that he should consider a different avenue for his future projects. Kinda like the guy who told his bosses at Columbia Records that Carlos Santana was washed up...

My dad and I are huge Bond fans. One of the local tv stations has been running through all of the Bond movies one by one. Just saw Quantum of Solace last weekend. We can now finally go see Skyfall.

I heard same story bout Geore...so it must be true-ish. Personally, I think Santana has been washed up since "A Love Supreme" with John McLaughlin. I don't care for his more contemporary work, and I'm not saying the guy can't play circles around me, I just thought the peak of his output was the 3 Santana albums. I'm also the guy who thinks Clapton peaked with Cream. To each their own I suppose.

The Connery films are my fav Bond films, then Roger Moore, then Daniel Craig, then those other guys. I thought the Pierce Brosnan films were the most rediculous in terms of plot lines. Fun movies, but really hard to "buy into".

I like the Daniel Craig ones the best. I actually like Lazenby as well. The reason I liked these guys was that the character was more than one dimensional- all the other ones would get in a dangerous situation and there was never any worry. They were so cool all the time that it was annoying. Craig's character has issues, lets his anger get ahold of him, drinks too much...

Oh, and my wife likes Craig too. I mean really likes him :)

I thought Skyfall was excellent

Connery was the coolest, & being just a kid - 10 years old - when Dr. No came out, I thought he was right up there with Steve McQueen. Nobody cooler than him. Moore was too smarmy. Lazenby was OK, but Diana Rigg (Emma Peel) was in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" & maybe that's why I liked that one...Dalton just looked wrong. Maybe it was his beady eyes...Brosnan was OK. Craig is different. Maybe it's because they are showing us the dark side of his life...Like I said, Not sure about him, but he's growing on me. I WILL say that he runs kinda funny...;hm

I didn't like Brosnan- I think because the movies started getting way too sci fi.

I have to wonder if the Bourne movies didn't influence the Bond movies- less sci fi, more interesting character, good fights

I liked Skyfall a lot. There was a lot less gadgetry and a lot more human interaction. Craig is my favorite Bond, though I too grew up with Connery and liked him too. Still, for me Craig is more believable.

i think the thing i like bout the old ones is no CGI...they has some overlay stuff for some of the stunts, but they actually had to do the stunts. you want a guy on a dirtbike chacing Bond down a mountain on skiis? Guess we need a guy who can ride a dirtbike down a mountain chacing after a guy on skis.
