This thread has proven to be motivational.
Broke out a box of TNT and M-5000 firecrackers.
Big bangers leaning in the corner with mags ready if the neighbors decide to light off also.
Could get noisy around here.
-Yes, stove is already loaded for the night. Me, not so much. yet.

Go for it! I have family in Ft Collins, I know they were "getting ready" when I talked to them a few hours ago. It was going to be about 5 degrees tonight but they will stand out there all night blowing stuff up :) Be Safe!

On another note, the stove is loaded for the night safe and sound. I'm back to drinking my scotch and watching The Twilight Zone marathon on SciFy after trying to watch what use to be Dick Clark's rockin eve. I don't know any of these singers/bands and they are all pretty bad to me. God, have I turned into my parents as I approach 40 in 2013? You can keep the Justin Beibers of the world, jeesh, what had happened to music? Yuck! I don't think anyone will be talking about this crap decades from now. Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith are still touring - ya think Mr. Beiber will still have a fan base 30-40 years from now? I doubt it ! ;)

That's awesome! My kind'a people.
Happy New Year!

I got my sleeve on every time I load if not, I look like i got issues

I will post my question here later ;lol

Drunk load about to happen in a second, wish me luck! ;)

FIRE IT UP ;lol

Stove is loaded with no burns to report.(go me!) Now I have to make sure I don't fall a sleep before closing the bypass and turning it down. ;lol

There comes a point, when U are unsure about getting it stable, leave it alone ! been there :) and did leave it.

I very rarely even get buzzed the after effects suck ! Last night I drank some really fancy whisky from our trip to Traverse City last year and well it ended with me going to bed and snoozing 15 minutes before the ball drop. Its still 2009 in my book I never care to see the ball fall and declare another year gone ! I loaded the stove before I drank so I would not drunk burn the house down !

Happy New Year! I try to think ahead about loading the stoves if I plan on drinking so I either load up before hand or just set my furnace thermostat.

I usually like to go out but stayed home last night cuz the wife has work early this morning. I loaded up both stoves, sat down to a couple home brewed IPA's then hit the sack early.

I behaved last night but Saturday was interesting. I went to a buddy's house to have oysters and mass quantities of beer. When I got home the stove was ready for a reload and i done think I want to mess with it again after ive been drinking. I just wanted to sleep but kept going to look at it cause I was worried that I had done something wrong and was going to burn the house down.

Snap-On tool guy that use to come around years ago told me a good one,,,He was throwing back a few beers sitting in front of his wood stove, after having a few too many he attempted to put a few more splits in his stove,,, well he said the next thing he knows ,,, he opens the door and a coaled up round sitting high in the fire box decide to roll right out off of the hearth and sat there on his week old wall to wall carpet! He said he was in shock , by the time he picked it up with gloves the damage was done!

Hubby's gotta a full auto machine "toy" with a blank attachment blowing through the drums, you probably heard us :) We are north though.....

I think I heard that. I was in north MontCo.

This thread was more entertaining than most of the stuff on the tv last night. Glad I didn't get too toasted or stay up too late last night. Inlaws' gas furnace alarm went
off very early this morning indicating low temps in their WI house (they are in AZ). When we woke them up (even earlier in AZ), they admitted to turning the thermostat down lower this year to save $). Got below zero last night.

Happy New Year everyone.

I'm new here. Up in Ottawa, Canada. This place has been a good resource to me for the past few months, and has given me enough background info to guide my purchase. We are having a Jotul C450 installed in the next few weeks.

Lots of seasoned wood burning in 2013.

Cheers

Well, this thread took off without me.

The burn on my bicep says "hello."

I like to think of it as inspiring, though I'll never match his West Texas wit.
