He should market these! Everyone in America would buy one

Yikes, had to put the sound down. I'll watch it tonight with the wife tonight to get the whole effect. It looks like he did use three screws on one of the connections. I think the pipe going through the wall was
an OAK. I really hope it is not a water coil connection... It was choochin' though, looked like seasoned wood. Good on him for that part. Bad for leaving the bottom door open on start up.

Permits? We don't need no stinkin permits

Urban Dictionary says about Chooch.......
chooch 658 up, 421 down

The term is derived from the Italian word "ciuccio" and means jackass, dummy, idiot, or moron. A chooch is a person, who against better judgement, acts inappropriately. Nuff said

Flame all you want, but I think its an interesting idea as far as DIY stoves go. Barrel stove with an OAK and ash shaker, looks like the air feed is through the shaker on the bottom of the firebox. Then there is a pipe running through the middle of the stove essentially turning it into a donut to get a good convection current running through it to heat the room.

I don't have sound so maybe that helps.

I am guessing as I have never seen the inside of a hot water tank and thought that this is a recycled gas hot water heater and the inside pipe was the heat exchanger/flue pipe?

I would never let that dude install any stove in my house ever...
But, I would drink beers with him in a heartbeat!

Thats what it is. A hot water tank.
Actually, for a shop stove that aint a bad idea. Except for his stove pipe set up that is. Trust me, I've seen worse around here.

Why is everyone so down on this guy about safety? I mean there's a friggin fire extinguisher prominently displayed sort of near the bomb/stove, just past the fuel supply inches from the bomb/stove. OK, so maybe the extinguisher hasn't been chooched in a while, but it's a beauty, eh.

I agree outside of the stove pipe I don't see what's dangerous. Without seeing it closer in person it looks like it could contain a fire as good as anything. It's in the basement on concrete next to a concrete wall. As for his character, he could use some manors.
