I seem to hunt for old McCulloch's all the suddon lol. I picked up a couple old dogs In the last few weeks.

This old Super 33 Is a cool old saw. I just got It running today. It does not cut good at all, but I'm glad It's mine.

Yes, the old Sp125 is a big nasty! Lol. It just sounds awesome. A fellow worker has a big hickory tree that's up rooted and hung in another tree. As soon as it hits the ground I will head there Directly and cut it up with the 125.

Thistle- I think your right this is a pretty nice place you guys have here!!

That SP125 is a piece of garbage. I'll take it off of your hands for a couple of bucks. Where did you get that at?

I've never seen a Super 33, looks to be a good old gear drive from probably around the 50s.

Nice finds!!! Those 125's dont last long around here!

Ha ha, I think I'll keep the 125. The Super 33 was built in the mid 50's 55-56 I think, it's just a cool saw, so I had to get it. It starts first pull everytime I have tried to start it. 3 pumps of the primer, 1 pull and it's running. It weighs a ton, and it is a gear drive saw. The 125 came from the east coast, it's had the paint touched up by previous owners, but nothing is broken or welded and it runs Perfect.

I'm not sure I'm "into them" as in a collector but I do have a few older ones. They were all given to me or I inherited them.

I have a really nice Homelite C-52, it's big, loud and impressive. I also have an EX Auto that I've used some this winter cutting firewood. I have a couple of non-runners too, I'm not sure what I want to do with them.

I have one that I have never found any info on. It is called a bobcat and appears to have the old clinton 4.6 hp on it. I have seen some very similar, but never a bobcat (I am sure it was just a re-badged saw). I should get a pic of that old thing. Jumps around like a little kid when it idles.

you probably want to ship them to me.

YES, you should get a picture. Clinton (near-ish to where I live) DID make chainsaws

ETA: I didn't see who I was talking to, they are probably closer to you than to me. It was over in Maquoketa, IA.

It looks very similar to this, but with side stickers that say (and show) "Bobcat"

that's what I found on acresinternet after AS pointed me there. I've seen those before, but only locally, never on ebay or anything. I haven't been looking lately, though, I have too many saws that need work and I don't need to hunt them out anymore.

Cool looking saws! I have a MAC 1-50 coming soon for some repair/maintenance. Will be my first time working on them.

Someone's actually bringing one in? Tell him it's junk and that you know an idiot that would like to buy it from him. Like I need a 80cc Mac...Did i ever mention that I have CAD?

I just remembered I had a picture of the oldies (and a 340, I'm looking to replace this one).

Those old EZs are all over the place, they musta sold about a bajillion of those.

That's a regular EZ Auto, not the Super EZ Auto. They only made the EZ Auto for a few years, the SEZ Auto on the other hand has to be the most popular saw ever made. Bajillion might be a little low :)

The good news for me was that most part swap back and forth so finding the things I needed to get the EZ going were all just an eBay purchase away. I think I have like 20 bucks wrapped up in it, it was a fun winter nights project.

I have no idea on the C-52. That sucker is 18 pounds of 77CC fun. I don't think I'll use it to much, even just playing with it, it's in really nice original shape. I need to take some better picture of it.

The EZ is used, not abused but you can tell it's worked in it's life.

The guy I got the Super 33 from had 2 Homelite EZ's. One was blue, the other was a red automatic. The blue one looked like it was brand new. The auto had been used a lot. He wanted 75 dollars for the blue EZ, and I almost brought it home. Looks like quite a few of you guys like the old saws too. A guy I work with has an old Tecumseh that I have been trying to get. He just won't let off of it lol. Someday I will get it. I will post up a pic if his old
Saw a bit later.

Ok I know I'm not the only one wondering why you have chainsaws on your house carpet or guns near the stove.

No, we wonder why his wife lets him.

Here's the Old Tecumseh I would like to get one day. These old saws are nothing that I would cut with everyday, but are fun to make run after all these years.
