I am getting ready to install an OAK on my P43, and I am looking at the Harman version. From what I can tell, the setup includes the outside vent cap and a 2 3/8" connection for the hose. Is there a face plate or something for the interior wall? That does not appear to very clear in any of the docs I can find. It appears there is not. It must be aesthetically pleasing for my wife, or I will not be popular. (Which is why hose will be painted black) Is there another OAK that is better? I am going right out the wall in the corner behind the stove, so a short distance. Exhaust vent exits through the vaulted ceiling. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

the "kit" is actually the wall thimble (they call it a passthrough) that allows for both exhaust out and fresh air in through 1 hole. the actual "venting" is not part of the assembly. you then add the flexy tube to that, and stick it in the air intake thingy on the stove...viola! It is the face plate on the inside and outside. Its not so ugly, but not so pretty either...not much to be done about that. If you do a good job on the install it can be fairly hidden behind everything.

after reading again you might be looking at just the outside air box (we call a doghouse)...that has no interior face plate...you can find something to dress it up at home iprovement store or whatnot.

you can get yourself some type of plumbing flange or something similar to dress it up a bit...it has no..."esthetic component". works very nicely for air intake though....one of those function over form scenarios.

One more question. This will exit the house into kind of a corner. This area is blocked generally from the prevailing wind direction. Will any of this make any difference as far as air intake, or will it not care?

from the "air intake" side of things, it will have little bearing...make sure you maintain correct clearances on the "exhaust" side of things. inside corner rule, combustible materials rule, windows rule, ect.
