I'm thinking he went to Bogydave's School of Superb Stacking Skills........that there is some damm nice work.

If I was 20 years younger, I'd be tempted to go and kick one over. :p They are TOO damm nice!

If I stacked one row deep like that, I'd have a nearly 300' row of splits!

couldn't burn that in a year.......beautiful
You got that right.
Thing is, it is mid winter, if this picture was taken recently there are no signs he has started using the wood from the front stacks yet, he must obviously have some more stacks in the back where he is currently taking his wood from.

Just took the pictures last weekend. We've had lots of highs in the below zero range this month. So I'm also surprised to not see a lot of wood gone.

I counted at least 21 sections, and each looks like a face cord, so that is at least 7 cords of firewood. Only half of the winter is left, so I doubt it will all be burnt this year. Does anyone burn 14 cords per year in a modest-sized house like that one? I think this guy has more than one year's wood on hand.

That wood does look unweathered and new. Maybe the seasoned stuff gets moved into a shed or stacked closer to the back door.

Most likely it is more than one year's worth of wood . . . that said . . . growing up in a 1960s-1970s vintage split level ranch we routinely burned through 10-12 cords of firewood each season . . . although granted it was in Maine . . . and in a wood furnace . . . and my mother liked it hot.
