Harman/Quad or any HHT stove will have the same. The customer service is in the hands of the dealer. So I'd choose the next dealer with care! Pretty sure HHT won't even give you the time of day.

A couple people on here reported being able to talk to a tech support person from their website number, it took a while and a good amount of holding but they finally spoke with a knowledgeable person. Not much else you can do if your a long way from a dealer.

Brenrn:

I bought my M55 cast insert back in October. The price I paid was around $5400. That covered the stove, installation, the rail kit, and the outside air kit. Make sure you get an OAK. The dealer will most likely tell you you don't need one but stick to your guns.

You'll love the stove.

What a surprise, the Harman dealer doesn't care for Enviro stoves. A real impartial comment Eric.

Just stating my opinion. I know that is frowned upon here but oh well.

Being a dealer, Think of positive ways to plug your product. Refrain from dishin the competition, Its just doesn't look good. We respect you very much here! Keeping it possitive makes you the better man/dealer. ;)

Back to the regularly scheduled program.

A good dealer will tell you the exact same thing "tech support" can tell you.

Harman brags that 98% of their warranty issues are from parts that they obtain from sub contractors. That is OUTSTANDING. What would GM or Ford's results be?

I can tell you that 95% of stove problems reported to me are the owners or the installers fault.

I have sold certain brands of stoves that I will not sell again. There are brands of stoves that I will not even work on because I do not stock parts for and really do not like cutting my hands up attempting to work on them. I do not talk bad about other brands of stoves UNLESS I have good cause too.

Just saying.

Stating that I am not a fan of the line is not "dishin"?

Seems kinda steep, no? Are the inserts that much moer expensive? The GC60 cost me $3100 in November 2012 (not including venting and OAK).

Oh the customer can be wrong! The idea of telling the customer they are wrong but making it sound like they a correct is a skill.

there used to be a dealer around here that would undercut the pricing of the competition.....note I said "used to be". I won't lower the price of anything...but I WILL increase the value...partly with my good looks and charm, but mostly with my knowledge, educational skills, and fancy dance moves.

Customer is never wrong! :p

dont confuse "customer" with "owner"............yeayeayea, I know youre agonna say "every person is a potential customer..." etc...blahblahblah....(usually from folks who ARENT in retail!)

I have some dance moves for the lady of the house but if the man of the house finds out it is usually a deal breaker, "usually".

I got my regency gci60- for 4800 or so installed. it is the SAME stove with a cosmetic difference.

Dealer quoted me 5,300 for the gci60 with install, and haggled him to 4800 (maybe closer to 4,900).

This in October in the high rent region of downstate NY.

No I was just gonna say, ah never mind! :p Tell delta to keep his pants on while doing his dance moves. Might get a few more sales! o_O

I'm an owner so I guess I'm never right! ;em

look for tattoos, and other questionables.....I figure that any woman with a past history of making poor choices might be more likely to make some more poor choices and spend time with me! >>

Good god man, you don't mind living dangerously do you?

That tattooed one could be a ax murderess.

An electrician once told me if doing he mrs. Always fold your clothes, so the hubby sees she was waiting for it & he just might not grab his shotgun

Retail price is for suckers. I don't pay retail for hardly anything, whether it's tools, appliances, electronics, even clothing. Everything is negotiable, especially in this economy where the only way retailers grow market share is by stealing the other retailer's business/customers.

no, everything isnt negotiable. Different retailers do different things, and of course we can only control what we ourselves do. Sadly, I dont have any control of what my competition does. I can say tho, as I said above, that I do know what I need to sell things at to keep the doors open, and, well, frankly, you have absolutely no clue what that is. So, given that I do know what I need to sell things at (to stay open), I set a price which I feel is mutually equitable, and do not allow any employees to override that....unless they want to pay for the difference themselves.

now, my competition might negotiate....so, maybe the price of that unit depends upon the negotiation skills of the consumer, I guess. Is it fair and ethical to charge one person more than another, based upon their bargaining skills, or the color of their skin, or what they look like, or, dare I say, how sexy they are? I cant say I think it is, but thats me. I can absolutely guarantee that I wont negotiate with you. Sorry if I offended you, its not my intent.
