WP_000459.jpg Sorry, have'nt learned how to use it yet. Maybe I should use thumnail.

my first thought is it could be a Icon 160 or 180 from Heatilator. On the right hand side in front of the brick on the metal there should be a plate riveted that tells you make and model.

yes. ZC
did they cover up the air passages above and below the fireplace with tile?
not supposed to do that, air flow is very important to keep those zc's from overheating!

i had that unit in my cookie cutter home and wasn't able to find anything to fit. It's pretty easy to tear out then you can do an alcove install of a free standing unit. i don't know what's involved if you want to put an insert in the hole that's left behind.

That looks a lot like my Superior BR42 fireplace. It is only a radiant heat fireplace. Mine has openings around the edges.

$5200. That includes the blu/black stove, 30' insulated liner, offset box, and installation.

Sadly it doesn't produce as much heat as I thought. Still working on some improvements.

I seem to be getting cold air in the room when I burn the insert. Those air vents on the zc might be causing some of it. I am trying to figure out how the triple wall chimney, air vents on the side and bottom of the zc, and the fresh air all work. Maybe I can determine where the air leakage is coming from.

Also, a block off plate might help. I stuffed some roxul around the liner which helped a little, but it is so tight with the stove I had a hard time reaching around the liner.
