Drove 30 miles ( one way) to HD to get some. Cleaned up the PDVC and put the chow in there and WOW..... Great heat, comparable to somersets for me. After 6 hours, my glass is still clean and see through. Even with the somersets / barefoots my window get some ash on it after a couple of hours..

I put the FSU in the EF2, Jury is still out on them. They look like somersets in the size.

I bought 5 bags of FSU's, burned a bag and went and bought 5 more...I like them...decent heat and very clean....HD only had one pallet...must have gotten mixed in with the rest of the tons of Chows they have....

No Chow here this season. HD had FSU last fall. Pretty decent. Now all Presto's which seem hotter anyway.

I just got back from HD in Middletown, CT. They were sold out of pellets. They have been selling Stove Chow and Fireside Ultras. The manager told me that they can't keep them in the store. He said that they had received 4 truckloads recently which they quickly sold.

The local Lowes on the other hand is sitting on 30+ tons of pellets. I wonder if they are having second thoughts about their pricing policy.

If your lowes is anything like mine, they're sitting on 30+ tons of North Americans.

yup......have to agree,... the stove chow this year is awesome!

in fact!!!!!,.. I'll trade anyone,... bag for bag,... somersets to stove chow.... and I got plenty.

yup,... bring it

Hd in southern Maine now has green supreme. Hadn't seen them carry gs until now.
Are these any good? They had them @ the Portsmouth, NH HD today (maybe 15 bags on a pellet)

Home Depots around here stocked green supremes all season long. Stove chow started showing up a month ago. I'm even hearing that presto logs have also surfaced.

It all depends on which plant the CHOWS come from, the Canadian CHOWS run clean and hot, the USA plant less heat and more ash. I ave burned both.

I liked the Chow better better than the FSU. The fire sides burned relly fast in my stove. The chows were a little ashy.

I like FSU better than GT's... they seemed to make better heat in my stove. I suspect it was due to pellet size.

Got a ton of FSU's at HD $188 with 10% coupon. They are a small pellet. Had to close the feed gate all the way. Pretty good heat but I noticed they had alot of fines. Ash was about average.

Lol. Completely opposite of the HD I go to in southern Maine.

HD in S. Portland has chow and green supreme. HD in Biddeford just the fire sides.

Last week they had a half a pallet by the door. Picked up 3 bags. Might have the last of them

No worries boys/girls, Your local pellet house will still have fuel. Some brands are around the same cost as the box's are fetching. I wouldn't be surprised if the boxes start raising prices as we get closer to spring.
