Wow! Must have either been a super hot fire or the wood was really close (and well seasoned). Sad that so much was lost.
 
Bummer, don't let Daksy see that.

I've seen this setup before and have warned the owner of the potential hazard. The typical response is I've been doing it for the past 20 yrs. and ain't had a problem yet.
 
Right begreen. How many times have we seen it posted on this forum. Dry your wood by the stove....
 
So the Owner indirectly caused the fire himself? Thats what it sounds like. Does an insurance company pay out in a situation like that.? Owner certainly should have known better if he already knew the cause of the blaze.
 
Yeah, check those clearances and while your at it, make sure you have enough insurance. Who keeps that amount of tools and equipment and does not insure it properly? Especially when it's your livelyhood at risk.
 
Holy crap! I didn't enlarge the picture before. The wood is still there. Right next to the stove!
 
That back wall was all stacked wood! Looks like he had about a cord inside XO
 
It also looks like the only thing to survive the fire was the firewood!
