This day 8 years ago I was blessed with the best Valentine's Day present a guy could ask for.......my baby girl!
Not to mention a doll of a wife that I wouldn't trade for the entire world! This is one of my favorite pics of my ladies so I'll share it with you all......

Happy Valentine's Day to the rest of ya!!

You should be very happy........you married way out of your league and your daughter looks like your wife! Wait until your daughter grows up and becomes a raging liberal ( trust me, it happens!)

We're doing our part to teach her otherwise. So far she's just fine!
And she steadfastly believes in God, I'm very proud of her!

Yup. That would be it. It is sort of like Scotty's wife waiting for him to finish her dining room! !!!;lol
Wait. ;em I'm sorry Scotty. Please don't hurt me. And I want my stickers. I take it back. I take it back already!

Wait, he finished the living room and now he is on to the dining room? I'm waiting for him to open for business so I can hire him to do some of that masonry magic to my back yard :)

I'll be nice fellas......I'm too worn out to even fight back!
Honestly, just got the jamb extensions and ceiling peak trim last night from the guy who did the millwork for me, going to stain and install that stuff this weekend. Found a guy who's going to plane and re-tongue/groove the antique reclaimed floor I just bought in Allentown (out of an 1830's log farmhouse), so the room is inching along. As a good finish carpenter told me long ago, the devil is in the details......
I'm a classic "too many irons in the fire" kinda guy......as my boys on here already well know!! ;)

I also have too many things I do at once Scotty. You are not alone my friend. My brother has been in the Hardwood flooring business for quite a while. He has earned a good reputation and installs flooring and also does staircases. He does some work for people who have a healthy bank account. Some of the money spent on some of their second homes is just, well crazy. Very beautifull.

I know how that feels... We have the beginnings of a kitchen remodel starting (new gas range going in which should be all but we know we will want to redo the cabinets and counters once we see the new appliances in), plus we need to repaint the bath, and once its done I'll want to start rehaning the original doors stored in the basement, and I want to start rebuilding windows and replacing the storms, and my wife wants me to build her a raised bed garden, and we want to put in a brick patio.

Not to mention all the ongoing small repair projects and non-house related hobbies!
