Did a cleaning on Thursday for some people. Found these in their 6" oval pipe. The previous installer installed the oval upside down, and improperly used screws which reduced the ID by at least 30% (Pushed the inner liner in, didn't grab the screws). Once a year isn't too much IMO for a cleaning. It could save your life.

That's a penny for scale. photo 1.JPGphoto 2.JPG

Wow I that mine was bad!!!!

Good lord!!!

Looks like chunks of vesicular basalt!

Looks like some crisp cow patties. I've seen it like that before. Hope not to ever again.

Saw some very much like that recently but it came out of an OWB.

Hold the phones! I seen somebody on here uses lava rock and burns tires at the same time. Maybe this is right up his alley?

Customer said he had burned about a half cord of damp wood. It might have been more than that though, not really sure.
I burned 4.5 cord of chitty wet wood through a smoke dragon my first year of burning. I had nothing even close to that.

I don't think that wood was damp, but instead soaked at the bottom of a lake, taken out and then thrown right in the stove were is most have smoldered for weeks_g

I think someone who lives close should swing over and help the guy build a login to the forum...he needs all the help he can get,

Wow . . . that is all . . . just . . . wow.

Where were they in relation to the stove? Bottom of chimney, top....? Alltogether, spread out.... ?

Where you there because he had draft problems? That looks like big enough to block the draft...

With chunks like that, just how much little stuff was there in addition?
