This is the first year that I have had the turds in the Harmon. Large ones that it has difficulty passing. This is also the first year I had a pallet of stove chow throw out some green and dark yellow flame. On my 3rd pallet of chow this season and this pallet has a different and lighter color than the others. I run the harmon at 5 to 5.5 stove temp most of the time. At least there are no skid marks on the glass. LOL

and all this B.S. about Harman being a "smart stove".....Let me tell you, I have owned a Harman for 7 or 8 years now, and I love it. I would not want anything other that a Harman (except maybe a Quad) But all this crap about regulating temps to within one degree using an ESP.....BULL S#IT!!! Not happening.
I was the one who started the whole smartstove thing. When I said it I was more referring to the use of the esp in maintaining a steady heat output regardless of the pellet.

Having said that, I do find that the room temp is steady to within one degree. Every setup is different I guess.

Funny thing is my dumb stove doesn't know how to make a clinker or ash turd. ;em

I'll be right over to pick up them pellets that smart Harmone is having issues burning. My beast will eat em like candy! ~~~~~~ ::-)

Never thought this whole smartstove thing would create such conversation.... ;)
No clinkers or turds in my stove. Ash gets pushed off the front of the burnpot in my stove and doesn't cling on.

I get the same thing in my Harman ( smart stove) and just attribute it to a cheaper pellet. I buy box store pellets for my stove at 200 a ton. I tried better pellets and did not build up the TURD. but like CT pellet said it does not affect the way my stove operates. Just need to empty the ash pan more often. But if I am saving over 80 dollars a ton Ill empty the pan it takes all of 1 minute. I clean my stove every sunday regardless of how much I burn. Its just a routine for me. So the only difference is the ash pan and extra money for BEER and chips for when I watch HOCKEY
All of the box store pellets I have tried do not create turds. But yes I agree emptying the ash pan once more per season than I would if I bought the super premium pellets is no biggie to me either. Clean my stove regularly so that's not a game changer either.
