If STOP error 0x0000008E is followed by 0xc0000005, as in STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, x, x, x), applying the latest Windows service pack will likely fix your issue.

I don't think this is the actual issue with the 2gb limitation. Outlook Express actually starts to loose its mind trying to index more than that. It was never programmed to do it. Usually it will start to warn you with eradic stuff happening even before it hits 2gb. Ya know...Microsoft and everything...:confused:

Outlook Express was built for WinXP 32 bit. The 2 gig limitation came with the 32bitness. Back in those days, sending a 320x240 image was a big deal and the largest hardrive around as 250MB.

Right. That is why OE was never programmed to handle stuff of that size. Just like "nobody will ever need more than 640K".
