This is actually too warm, but what I woke up to this morning. Believe it or not even the boss was too warm.

I keep the stove on it's lowest setting, it keeps my stove room a nice toasty 60 degrees, the same as the rest of the house.

I know it sounds warm but feel great...our basement doesnt have the best insulation...cold air from basement comes up through the floors and creates a chill...averages out well..
Will be solving the insulation problem this summer..just bought house last March..didnt plan on using the pellet stove until this past December...Maybe next year will be different...but everyone is comfy warm...no complaints from inside this house...just thought i would ask.
I'm betting if you put a thermostat at floor level and then move it to 6 foot elevation there'd be a huge difference in temp swing.
I know there is a drastic temp diff in my house - where cold air DOES rise in my 143 year old home (well half of it is that old) up through the old wood floor.
Living Rm w/pellet stove = 71F
Kitchen in between (no stove) = 72.5F
Sun Rm / Dining Rm w/wood stove = 75F

77-81 in stoveroom. 73 everywhere else on 1st floor. 64-68 second floor

Programmable thermostat 68/75 degrees at different times

Stove living room 74. Stove family room 72-74 for wife. Upstairs 66-68. I'd keep it colder but baby needs a little heat.

Stove room is 72-73 pretty warm at times, the rest of the place is 68ish.
