Lookin for light weight and to run 18 or 16in bar
What do ya all think

I took advantage of the 445 on vm inovations last time they had a good sale. It was 180. I wrote in another thread here how impressed I was in it for a non pro grade saw. Cuts like a champ, and if you wait for them to issue a coupon you can save another 40 bucks on it.

How do they issue a coupon

I found a used 460 for 150 about 2 years ago , I know it a little more than you want but I'm very impressed and glad I went a little bigger than 45 cc

It was a promo, google vminnovations coupons and you'll see what they are pushing now. You should be able to find their site wide coupons and i find that once a month or so they have a deal on refurb saws.

a decent used Husky 350 can be had in your price range and the saw has a great reputation. I really like mine but after running my new 036 I am not sure how I lived without the power. Expand your search in Michigan - there were some nice saws in the lansing area recently.

OK I will Expand my search
Well looks like the 350 is same weight

Thanks

Ive got a poulan 5020 and have been quite pleased with it. 200 bucks gets you 50ccs and a carrying case

I have the Husky 61 when I need more power, but I want something with decent power that doesn't weigh 13lbs, dry WO a bar

Ya , some people say it is the most saw U can get for 200 bucks

I have a the Husky 450(445's bigger brother) and I really like it. It doesn't see as much use now that the 346 is around.

Be sure to check the tune on that 445 if you get it. They come really lean from the factory. They require a special tool for the carb. You can pick it up on ebay pretty cheap.

Of those I'd go for the Deere (green Efco). With a 16-18" bar, I'd want a 52cc saw not a 44cc saw. If you wanted a 14" bar I might lean towards the fewer ccs.

I have been very happy with my 445

I have posted before that I am very happy with my refurbed Husky 150BT backpack blower and string trimmer from VMInnovations. I wouldn't be afraid to order a 445 from them.

My area seems to have a lot 025/250's right now

There looks like some good one there , would be a long drive to Ohio ;)

I found some nice stihls on eBay, just not sure I want to screw around with the bidding

I think $215 or $220 for a 445 is good price, I may go with pantano power equipment ,cuz VMInnovations, are out of stock.

I would go up in engine size as long as the weight doesn't go up a lot, 2-3lbs does make a difference, I see the Poulan 5020 is a little over 12lbs and it comes with to big of bar for it, and for a few dollars more a 445 would be an all around better saw, BUT If any one is intrested, Amazon has the Poulan 5020 for $165.71 right now, very tempting

or theres this: 45 cc also likes 16-18"

OK I bought the Husky 445, $217 free ship, now I have 4 saws , I just might need one ! more :);)

HD, here's some reading on your new saw...... I think there is even a video in there :)
